Partnered with a leading hospital in eastern West Virginia that has an exclusive opportunity for an OB Hospitalist to provide locum coverage.

About the Opportunity:

• Schedule: 24-hour shifts
• Level III NICU, delivering as early as 25 weeks
• Patient Volume: 80-100 deliveries per month, 1,800 OB ED visits annually
• Comfortability with GYN ED cases, including laparoscopic and ectopic pregnancies, is preferred but not required
• Support Staff: Midwives and family medicine OB on backup call, MFM, in-house anesthesia
• EMR: Epic
• Must be board-certified
• Paid travel & expenses

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Internal Medicine/OB GYN West Virginia state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program
• One year of work experience as a OB Hospitalist
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified

• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
