Salary: Dependent upon rank, Assistant Faculty, Instructor & Assistant Professor $110,000 - $135,000; Associate Professor $135,000 - $219,000*

The Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is seeking a skilled optometrist to join our comprehensive eye care team. This position offers the opportunity to practice independently while collaborating closely with our world-renowned team of ophthalmologists and subspecialists at our community outpatient clinic in Odenton, MD.
-  Practice with clinical autonomy performing comprehensive vision and medical eye examinations within Maryland's scope of practice, utilizing your expertise in independent patient management 
-  Engage with diverse clinical presentations including diabetic retinopathy screening, dry eye disease management, cataract evaluation, glaucoma assessment, Plaquenil monitoring, and urgent ocular care triage 
-  Collaborate directly with internationally recognized ophthalmologists and subspecialists, ensuring seamless patient care coordination and access to world-class consultation in glaucoma, retina, cornea, uveitis, neuro-ophthalmology, oculoplastics, and low vision rehabilitation 
-  Comprehensive vision care services encompassing eyeglass prescribing and soft contact lens fitting, with opportunities for specialty therapeutic contact lens practice and myopia management 
-  Collaborate with our expert on-site optical team featuring licensed opticians and premium materials

Requirements
Experience
-  Successful completion of an accredited optometry residency program, or minimum of three (3) years of experience in an ophthalmology practice setting 
-  Candidates with subspecialty training in pediatrics, low vision, binocular vision, neuro-optometry, or other post-doctoral residency specialties are particularly encouraged to apply 
Credentials
-  Doctor of Optometry degree from ACOE-accredited institution 
-  Active Maryland optometry license in good standing 
-  National Provider Identification (NPI) number
