The successful candidate will be expected to conduct innovative, rigorous, and grant-funded research that advances the understanding and treatment of lung disease.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct independent and collaborative research supported by extramural funding.
- Engage in scholarly activities including peer-reviewed publications and scientific presentations.
- Support and lead research initiatives within the Kentucky Research Alliance for Lung Disease (KRAL-D).
- Contribute to the teaching and research training of UK undergraduates, medical students, graduate students, and postdoctoral scholars through mentorship programs, courses, workshops, and supervised research.
- Participate in interdisciplinary research and training initiatives across the University of Kentucky's 16 colleges, including Arts and Sciences, Public Health, Pharmacy, Nursing, Communication and Information, and Health Sciences.
- Support the Division's clinical research mission through roles such as protocol development, patient recruitment for clinical trials, and participation in regulatory oversight for clinical research.
