Description
American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Technologist with a minimum of 5 years of specialized vascular ultrasound experience for a full-time, Monday–Friday position in a hospital vascular laboratory setting.
Details
- Hospital-based vascular laboratory setting
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Monday through Friday schedule with varying AM shift times
- 5x8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
- No on-call required
- May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital as needed
- Epic EMR used for charting
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience strictly in vascular ultrasound — general sonographers with partial vascular experience will not be considered
- Proficiency in upper and lower venous duplex, upper and lower arterial duplex, carotid duplex, abdominal duplex (renal, mesenteric, and portal), hemodialysis duplex, and arterial Doppler PVR
- Graduation from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology
- RVT or RVS certification preferred
- BLS required
- Active NJ license required if applicable
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Prepares patients for examinations and monitors for clinical changes, reporting findings to the RN, physician, NP, PA, or MD as appropriate
- Responsible for proper documentation of all procedures including labeling, identifying studies, and entering charges into the medical record
- Maintains standards for sterile procedures and infection prevention
- Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from their initial start date, after which a 30–60 day break is required before returning
